For this project, we explored the question: What if designers were a tea box? I was assigned the designer Seymour Chwast. After researching his distinctive illustration style and his perspective on politics and culture, I created a tea box inspired by his work.
Using the structure of a Yogi Tea box and acrylic markers, I hand-painted a design that reflects Chwast’s bold, graphic aesthetic. The concept incorporates themes of politics, oligarchy, and royalty, brought to life through bright colors and playful illustrations of recognizable figures such as Queen Elizabeth II. The final piece aims to capture the funky, expressive energy that defines Chwast’s work while translating it into a three-dimensional, branded object.
